Frozen Cookie Dough
Okay, so I saw this idea on a really awesome blog a while ago, and today, I happened to have time when the kids came home from school to implement it. I made a batch of cookie dough, (this one is a chocolate peanut butter cookie) then I line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Then, using my handy dandy "Pampered Chef" cookie scoop (I don't know how I ever lived without those things) I scoop perfect little balls of dough out onto the pan. Then I slide it into the freezer, and wait till they are frozen. Then, I just put them in a gallon size bag. Why do this you ask? Well, my kids love fresh baked cookies. But my thighs do not. If I make a whole batch, I'm sitting there eating dough, and warm cookies with the kids. This way, I can pull out 4-5 balls for the kids to eat, bake them up, feed them to the kids, and I don't have tons of cookies sitting around my house tempting me. Genius, right? This is also great for those empty nesters, who want a little sweet treat now and then, but don't want to be left with too much sitting around.

What a great idea! Such an easy concept, but I never thought of it. I buy that big box of Otis Spunkmeyer pre-formed frozen cookie dough balls from Costco. But I think we're all getting a little tired of the same cookies all the time. I'm definitely going to do this!
Brillant Jenn! Thanks for sharing. This is really easy and cheaper and healthier that the premade stuff. I'm going to go make some cookie dough!
